Quite possibly the highlight of my morning run…seeing a palm tree in the middle of nowhere. Yes, I live in Dallas, Texas…AKA nowhere near a beach.
Today I tried a new route. Total detour from the ordinary. I was feeling real Dora the Explorer-ish. Then I realized how incredibly hilly my neighborhood is. It slowed my pace waay down. 9 something minute mile average pace. I was cool with it. I stopped at 4.5 miles. Got ‘er done.
Mental note – gotta do more hill training.
Last night’s dance class was fun. I am starting to really love teaching dance class. I love teaching Monday night classes at the gym. People are all fired up and ready to rock their week of workouts. The house was packed and I loved every minute of it. Saw lots of new faces and some familiar ones.
I love this lady’s Top 10 Reasons to Love Danceaton via Facebook…priceless.
Number 9 is my favorite…
Below is one of my favorite songs to teach. I asked the class if they wanted me to play a Latin salsa song or this song last night and I got an overwhelming response to play ‘The Floor is on Fire’. Works up a sweat EVERY time!
At my 9 to 5 job we are doing this ‘Feed Your Spirit’ challenge for the month of June as a part of our Health and Wellness program. I thought this would be a fun one to take part in.
We got this little bingo card to check off certain tasks throughout the month. Hopefully I can check off all of the boxes! I am an all or nothing kind of person.
Do you live anywhere near a beach (if so I’m jealous)? What workout song really makes you break out into a sweat? What kind of things do you do daily to ‘feed your spirit’?
I love that bingo card idea. Those intentions are great!
I know right!? We do these a lot but I thought this was a good one to share. 🙂 Feel free to join me in the challenge!
