TGIFriday Faves.

TGIF! Thank goodness another weekend is just around the corner…I am ready for it. 22 miles for breakfast tomorrow morning- my last long run of the training season…and then it’s downhill into scaling back the miles to get ready for the big race…otherwise known as TAPER TIME!
Thank you, Ryan.
Let the craziness begin.
Onto the things I’m loving as of late:
The Glitter Guide’s 5 things to try this wknd– Love getting these emails in my inbox…they always give me great ideas for out of the ordinary things to do for the wknd (other than running or sitting on the couch with my DVR)…like roller skating? How long has it been since you’ve done that?
Pumpkin spice cookies– Shout out to Julie for the recipe on this one…only 2 ingredients and super easy to make! Spice cake mix and pumpkin…shape into cookies and bake in the oven on 350 for 10 to 15 minutes until the cookies have solidified. Top with icing and pumpkin spice if you are feeling extra spunky 😉 Perfect for a fall party or tailgating!
Or for carb loading fuel for a 22 mile run…
Thursday night social runs– Is there a better way to unwind from the workday than with a fun run with buddies followed by some adult beverages? I couldn’t think of one. So last night I had the pleasure of meeting not one but two total dominators. I had been corresponding via email with my blogging buddy Laura when she told me she would be in town Thurs night…so we met up at the Luke’s social run over in Plano! Just so happened the same night Dane Rauschenberg was in town to come run with the Luke’s gang as well. Both Laura and Dane are super accomplished marathoners and it was very inspiring to hear both of their stories! If you don’t know, Dane ran a certified marathon EVERY weekend in 2006. EVERY.weekend. Like, really? He was super nice, down to earth and hilarious. Laura is also the YOUNGEST female to run a marathon in all 50 states by the time she turned 25. So you know I had to pick their brains for most of the night. What I loved about them both is that they are BOTH super humble and just…real. We had so much fun running and then going over to Twisted Root for yummy burgers and drinks!
We like to sweat.
I also got Dane Rauschenberg’s new book…can’t wait to dig in and hear about all of his adventures.
–Morning runs to this song…I heard this song the other day while I was on the ‘mill and I got so pumped up I turned the speed up to 8.0.
Love this remix…
-My search engine terms…always a good laugh. Stay hungry and hustle HARD, people!

Oh and fall candles…my apartment smells lovely right now…
What are you up to this weekend? What’s one activity you would like to do that you haven’t done in a while? Funniest search engine term you’ve had on your blog?
