Wordle and My Favorite Running Weather.

Okay, so I am admittedly a little sore today from yesterday’s workout…those circuits always get me good. Mountain climbers, oh how I love to hate you.
View from this morning’s 5 mile run with my breakfast club running buddy. It was a chilly 30 something degrees but that is my favorite type of running weather.

After the run I went to make myself a smoothie and my blender was broken. Literally the blades got all wonky and discombobulated. So much for that. So instead I made myself a parfait with some vanilla chobani, fruit, and some honey nut cheerios on top. Didn’t take a pic but trust me, it was goood.
Last night’s spin class I taught was so much fun. I am really starting to love my 6pm-ers. Since it’s a new year you know all the resolutionists aka the “Januarians” are up in the house taking up your exercise machines…I think this describes it perfectly. Haha.

I loved it though. Everyone was really into it and we even fogged up the windows in the spin room a little bit. It was “happy hour” at its finest.
I have been reading this awesome chick’s blog and found out about this WORDLE thing-a-ma-jiggy. All of my most commonly used words from the past year.

Lots of randomness. Looks like a good year though.
If you are in the Plano area tonight come check out our spring training orientation at Luke’s Locker – 7pm. Another awesome season of running is starting up and I am super excited about it!

What are some most commonly used words from your blog? Where are you running today…treadmill, outside? WHERE can I find a good blender on the cheap? Help a sista out!

  1. Girl, I am the QUEEN of breaking blenders, until, I bought myself a Ninja. I don’t have the big one. I believe it’s the $50 at Target. I snagged one when I bought one for my SIL last year and she loves it too.

I haven’t been a member of a gym in two years now. My husband bought me a treadmill October ’10 and i got rid of my membership. I did, occasionally, sneak into my brother’s gym that he worked at — very expensive gym. I’d take spin classes all the time. Then he quit when he finished college. Boo.

Let me know what blender you get.

  2. I love cold weather running as well. I can always go farther and faster! So sad about your blender. I hate when I have something in mind I REALLY want for a meal and then something goes awry and I can’t make it! Seriously a pet peeve, and yes I am neurotic 😉

  3. Happy New Year!

I actually have four different blender-type devices. I have an immersion blender (I think by Cuisinart?) that my mom got me for Christmas a few years ago; I use it basically just for pureeing soups. Next, I have a regular-size blender that has a spout for smoothies. My old roommate left it for me, so it was free to me 🙂 It’s great for smoothies, but truthfully I rarely break it out b/c it’s a pain to clean and I usually don’t need to blend that much stuff. Finally, I also have a mini food processor and also a single-serving blender, both of which I got at Walmart. These two are what I get the most use out of, and they’re REALLY cheap – the single-serving blender was only $10 when I got it on sale. I found it online at Target right now for $15! http://www.target.com/p/hamilton-beach-single-serve-blender-black/-/A-10858328 I’ve been using that same blender since 2007 (got it in college) and have replaced it once when the motor died – so that’s like 3 years of use. I love it! It’s especially convenient because it has a lid that you can drink out of, so if you want to make a smoothie to go, it’s easy to do so. Hope that helps!

  4. Good luck coaching! If you want some advice – do NOT attend 100% of the training sessions and sponsored races. And whatever you do, do NOT care so much about your participants that you run an average 5 extra miles per week going back and forth to help them finish! My experience has been that if a volunteer coach does all that, then someone with the program will lie to you in person, take you off the coaches’ email chain, and refuse to return multiple phone calls. Haha, do I sound bitter about my treatment? No worries, have something better lined up already!
    PS, bummer about the blender!

      1. YAY so glad you like it! It’s my favorite… super easy to clean too. One tip though: don’t put the base in the dishwasher; it can loosen the glue that attaches the blade to the cup.

  5. Well that Wordle thing is pretty fun. Let’s see…some of the words from my blog are: pool, gym, know, happy, Gold’s, love, mats. Very interesting.

I ran on the treadmill today. 6.13 miles in the books. I prefer to run outside though. But, when it’s 8 degrees outside, I run inside.
