TGIFriday Faves.

It’s Friday so I had to kick things off right with an early morning run by the lake. Easy, short lived, shake out the legs little jaunt in preparation for Sunday’s marathon.
Yesterday was a complete rest day so this morning I was itching to get outside and just get some fresh air and some circulation in these legs of mine.
My favorites for the week-
-Compression socks under my work clothes. I am wearing the pink ones this morning and they feel oh so good. Happy legs and feet all day long.
-Teaching a power packed spin class full of hard working students. The energy in my classes this week was just electrifying. Get in where you fit in and grab that cycle pass early.
-Chia seeds. I am bringing the chia seed love back. I have a big bag of ’em at my desk in my office…oh and can I just say oatmeal with pb, honey, and some chia seeds sprinkled on top? Heaven.
-New discovery this week- brownie mix and plain nonfat greek yogurt…and that’s it. No eggs or oil needed peeps. Plus you get to eat the batter, and we all know that’s the best part. I made them into little brownie-fied muffins.
-These maxi skirts…want one in every color. And they’re only $11…get ’em while they’re hot.
-This BEP crazy remix. I love all crazy remixes I find on youtube. Seriously, just start clicking and you’ll find some good ones too.
Oh, off to go run another marathon. See you on the other side of 26.2!

  1. what are the compression socks used for? and have you noticed a huge difference since using them? and the brownies look amazing! how long did you bake them for?

    1. I baked the brownies on 350 for about 15 minutes! I made a small batch just to try them out. They are super gooey and tasty.

      The compression socks are wonderful for running recovery and just helps with overall circulation of the legs and feet. If you run long distances I think you would love them! I even wear them sometimes after non running workouts! Try them out and see if you like them!

  2. Oolala, those skirts! I want the green one! For the sake of spring, maybe if I wear that it’ll come here soon?!
    My weekend? I will run my marathon tomorrow. In heals! I have gazillion things to do!

  5. OH MY GOD. The brownie mix in yogurt is a genius idea. I am going to do that! And I love your compression socks. I need to get a pair! And tonight I believe I’m ice skating to start off my weekend right!

  6. I can’t wait to hear how your marathon went. I’m always wearing compression socks/sleeves at work. I have a pair of sleeves that I even wear with skirts. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do, ya know? Yesterday was my first run in a week & it felt great to run without pain in the shins. Today, I spent 3 hours on the bike trainer. Whew!

    That brownie yogurt mix is a brilliant idea. Yes! Tj’s brownie mix, no pudge, is a good find.
