So I am literally just getting off of the plane a little over an hour ago from Houston. Back to the real world!
The past few days have been lovely…good fun, good food, even better memories, and lots of r & r. From soaking up the sun with my sweetheart…
To playing some games at Dave & Busters, then hitting up the Improv Comedy Club Saturday night for some laughs…Bill Bellamy’s still got it.
Fast fwd to beating the heat by eating snow cones bigger than our heads…well not me but it sure was fun to watch.
My new favorite spot right on the outskirts of Houston has to be the Kemah boardwalk. Great if you don’t want to make the trek over to Galveston and a quick drive straight to the waterfront.
Lots of rides and I probably stopped and took a pic of every palm tree and flower I could find. E just loves my photo taking tangents.
After our fun time at Kemah we came home and did some grillin’ and chillin’. I was responsible for the roasted asparagus and sides…and E tackled everything else. I like puttin’ this guy to work.
Overall it was just what I needed. A nice little getaway. Feeling rested and ready to tackle this work week!
And of course lots of running and gym time. Ahhh yeah! It’s goin’ down this week.

We did some grilling this weekend too. It was delicious! Me & the boyfriend took his kids to the park for a picnic too. Sadly, I’m no where remotely close to a beach. 😦

My weekend was great! Sadly no beach involved but maybe I will change that for next weekend. My favorite thing on the grill might be grilled veggies (sweet peppers, onions, zucchini… YUM) but I also love a good hot dog every now and then 🙂

Looks like you had a great weekend! I spent two days in Virginia Beach with a certain someone sorta special … we had a great time, got a little sun (okay, he got a little too much), and I made him (try to) forget about work for a while, so it was PERFECT! I’m with you … just what I needed 🙂 Ps, that may actually be the biggest snow cone I’ve ever seen.

It was! And funny, he’s actually working in Hampton temporarily, which is how we ended up there last weekend 🙂
