Lights Out and a Runner’s Cocktail.

My Tuesday took off at an interesting pace…
Starting with a 7 mile easy run by the lake. Enjoying the views and getting my thoughts ironed out. It was pleasant.
After breakfast I headed off to work…only to discover we had a power outage in the building. Lights out on the iMac for half the day.
I’m just now getting things cranked back up again…thank goodness. I feel naked without technology.
Yoga is tonight and I’m pretty pumped about it. Nothing like 90 minutes of hot vinyasa flow to get the kinks out after the crazy workday.
Before I scoot I wanted to share an awesome summer drink for after your workouts. I present to you the Runner’s Pina Colada.
All you need is:
Coconut almond milk
1 Banana, chopped
Frozen pineapples
Blend and serve.
That was easy.
Ever had a power outage at work? What’s your favorite runner’s cocktail?

  1. That drink looks delish! I’m going to try that for sure.

When Hurricane Irene hit we got off from work for three days for a power outage which was AWESOME because the storm was well over by that point so I spent my days laying by the pool in the sunshine 🙂

  2. The beginning of the year we had a power outage (literally the day we got back from the new year) and the big boss told us to take a LONG LUNCH. So my attorney and I went to Target for an hour and change, and then at 1, we met with the other attorney and his paralegal at a high end restaurant for a long lunch. We got back to the office at 2 and boo, the power was back on! HAHA

Great run and hope hot vinyasa (MY FAVORITE — can’t wait to go back post-pregnancy) was amazing.

  3. Yes, we had a power outage last year. It was AWFUL. The bathrooms didn’t work – no toilets, no sinks. Everything is automated. So I had to walk down (and back up) 9 flights of stairs to go across the street to Peets every time I needed to pee!!!
