Thoughts on the Run, Fall Edition.

-Ahh, the sunrise is so gorgeous this morning…I had better take a pic.
-GPS signal ON, ready to go!
-Look at all of the fall leaves…lovely.
-And the crisp cool air. I have been dying to feel some cooler air on my face!
-Summer marathon training is so brutal.
-Oppressive even.
-Makes fall running that much more amazing.
-Lots of folks out on the trail this morning…be nice and smile at your fellow runners.
-Did that guy look straight at me and not say hello? Not very nice.
-That lady did…she’s out here a lot with her doggies and baby stroller. Super nice.
-I like nice runners that say hello.
-Gosh, it feels amazing out here!
-It is a little humid though…just a tad bit. Ahh, Texas.
-Alright, turnaround point…let’s pick it up in the 2nd half.
-It’s a little hot out now! I swear it was freezing 20 minutes ago.
-Good thing I still wore shorts.
-I cannot wait for some cooler weather. Winter running, you are my favorite.
-Pass this guy up ahead of you, you will look like a total rockstar if you pass him. Hold your pace!
-Smile and nod while you’re passing him though…so you don’t look like a total jerk.
-Alright, finish up this last mile…a pumpkin chai latte sounds amazing right now!
-Pumpkin. I should bake something today.
-I love fall running.

What are some thoughts you have on the run?

  1. I love this post!! Love stream of consciousness!! Very cool!! Fall running is the best and you’re a beautiful strong woman!! Way to rock it!! Happy Tuesday!! xoxo

  2. So true! All of this! Fall running can be bliss! Except we’ve had a lot of cold + rain. Soggy leaves and wet hair can ruin a run real fast.
