Hope you all are having a great day so far. Of course I started my Monday teaching a rocking spin class.
At the end of class…one of the members enthusiastically says…’This is going to be a great Monday!’. I strongly believe that. Love that attitude. Believe it and make that thang happen.
Anyway lets get back to the weekend. This one was a fun one for sure. Lots of running and good times with gal pals. Starting with Friday night…I took my bestie Natalie out to dinner for her 30th birthday. You love my singing skills, yes? I thought so.
I had a power packed day the next day so I went to bed in a timely manner. Saturday was 8 miles and subbing a class at the gym.
That night I went to yet another 30th birthday party for my homegirl Elyse. If you remember back in the day we used to be true blue running buddies when we lived in the same apartment complex. Her and her husband just bought a house so they invited us over.
This gal worked her tail off, qualified for Boston and will be running it for the first time in 2015. Love her (and kind of want to steal her running mojo).
We all took a pic in the holiday photo booth with our reindeer antlers on.
The next morning was chill and relaxing, went to my mom’s house for dinner, and then ended the day on a strong note…11 miles while rocking out to my jams. And cooling down with some yoga in my living room. It felt good to get some back to back longer runs in. 50K training for the Cowtown Ultramarathon has begun!
Bring it on! Wonderful things are happening.
Have a great week!
How was your weekend? Any holiday parties?
Yay for training! I can’t wait to start back up again! Looks like a fun weekend for sure!
It totally was!
50 K. How amazing! I’m just in awe. And yes, I loved your singing.
heehee you are too kind…I am so excited for 50k!!
Great runs girl!
Thx Mike and right back atcha!
Woo hoo for 50k training! So wonderful 👍
Totally can’t wait!!
We had a holiday party for Chris work. And, we have had about 8 at our venue in the last week with about 7 more in the next week!!!
Wow! You are quite the busy woman about the town…enjoy!
Girl, my marathon training started last week and I am slacking. But I’m going to just get through this week and not even look at the training schedule. Now that everyone is pretty much healthy, I just need to get the house in order. Then I can get into my training plan. On another note, I did start my Christmas shopping. 🙂
Nice! I never Christmas shop until the very last minute!! Horrible!
Believe me… I just looked at my list again, and really I only got 2 gifts and they’re ones that I’m mailing out — the other one is P’s gift. And another gift I just realized is for a 1st birthday party. Oops. I’ll be last minute shopping for awhile. LOL
Happy ultra training!!! I’ve heard great things about Cowtown but have never done it myself.
Thanks Erin!
