Long running, pool time and fun with friends = one awesome weekend! Hope you had a great weekend as well! Of course I had to capture the RUNrise action. Let’s do a quick recap!
Saturday I did a pretty HOT run with my Irving Running Club crew. A couple of us had 12 miles on tap for the day. It was already 80 something degrees at 6 a.m. Gotta love that.
I made sure to rehydrate with my Starbucks pink drink. Coconut milk and acai mixed together just makes me happy.
The rest of the day was pretty relaxing. Just chillin’ poolside by the palm trees.
And I got all caught up with the bestie. Love this girl and our fun adventures together.
Saturday night sushi…because when it’s 95 degrees outside…that’s just what you do.
The next morning I met up with some running buds for our trail run Sunday out at Cedar Ridge Preserve. Love this place…it’s some challenging terrain for trail running but is so pretty and peaceful.
We’re getting ready for a trail relay in July so we have been out there practicing.
I definitely have to get off the beaten path more. Loving this view.
How was your weekend? Do you have any summer races coming up soon?
Fossil Valley and the Hottest Half Marathon!
that sushi looks delicious! great views from the trail run, I love when something challenging rewards you with great views that kinda makes it all worth it!
Definitely makes it worth it!
Yes to sushi on these humid days. The perfect summer meal.
Your trail runs looks so nice!
The trail was so fun indeed!
All of your food pictures look so yummy!!! Yaaaaahs to the pink drink! 🙂
Mmmmhmm!
That trail looks amazing! Well, so does the pool. 🙂 Sounds like it was a great weekend!
Thanks lady!
I spy Mark! He and I have run lots of trails together.
I have not been out on the trails nearly enough, I need to change that! I am eying Rockledge Rumble in the fall. I did the 30k a couple of years ago and loved it.
I’ve got Meaningful Miles 10k this weekend, Too Hot to Handle 15k, DRC Independence Day 10k, and Hottest Half on my agenda. Definitely not racing Hottest Half! Hope to see you at one of those!
Seriously you are not a real runner, Rebecca unless you know Mark! He’s the most popular runner guy in DFW! HA!! 😉
It’s so true!!!
