When It’s Cold Outside…Runners Be Like…

We all know how easy it is to fall into excuses during this time of year. It’s too cold, it’s too windy, there’s snot coming out of my nose (hey just keeping it real), my bed is too warm etc. I found some cold weather running funnies on Pinterest that explain my exact thoughts sometimes. To be honest, I love the cold but the early dark mornings can be tough! HA. That just makes you that much more of a badass though if you get it done.

In no particular order…

  1. LOL. Speaking of mother nature’s next hissy fit, it’s supposed to rain today and I will be out and about getting some miles in. This running streak is getting me into all sorts of trouble. 🙂

  2. It’s the dark evenings for me (I don’t do early morning pre-work runs). Last nights gentle 5 miler brought a nice surprise, the local authorities have put in new street lamps along my regular route so it was bright as day in places and made me feel a lot safer. Plus loads of people still had their Christmas lights up, which was pleasant!

  3. You know when it’s 12 degrees outside, you’re not going to encounter any weirdos. Because you’re weirder for being out there 🙂

  4. I’ll take running in the cold over running in the HEAT. Though, we were looking to relocate, and I’m not sure I can handle FL or TX heat in the summer. LOLLLL
