Hey there…hope you’re having a fabulous Monday so far! Let’s recap last week’s mileage, shall we? 67.4 miles last week. This was again a bit of a cutback for me. BUT. I still managed to pass the 300 mile mark for the month of January. So, woohoo for that!
Monday AM- 7.02 lunchtime miles, 8:31 pace. It was a seriously gorgeous day and I felt like pushing it a bit. Fastest 7 miles in quite some time. I guess I still have it in me even after all of this ultra training. Heck yes, I’ll take it.
Monday PM- 1.24 miles. Warm up before teaching a class at the gym. It always helps me to run for a bit just to get the legs going before spinning. This was all I really had time for.
Tuesday- 11.21 miles with the Irving Running Club. I did a few miles with them and then some. Always helps to get it in before most people even have their coffee.
Wednesday AM- 8.11 miles solo at the lake, 8:48 pace. I simply never get tired of this view.
Wednesday PM- 3.21 miles, 8:22 pace. This was after having a drink at happy hour. I dare you to judge me.
Thursday AM- 7.22 miles with IRC. Legs were feeling tired after 3 workouts the day before but I got it in.
Thursday PM- 4.11 miles at the park. I’ve been finding little random trail pathways at the park that I run at so it’s always nice to get off of the pavement from time to time.
Friday- REST DAY
Saturday- 15.11 miles of climbing at Cedar Ridge Nature Preserve. Always a good time getting dirty with my favorite trail run club, the Dallas Dirt Runners.
Sunday- 10.15 miles. Legs felt absolutely great even after 15 miles on trails the day before. This was sort of a chill day after…I had brunch with friends and fam and then watched the rest of The New Edition Story…ya’ll, so freaking good. I’m obsessed with listening to all of their old songs now. Yes, I’m an old school R & B fanatic. I know some of you out there can relate.
And there you have it!
How was your weekend?
Have a great week of running!
Thanks sweet Char! Gearing up for fun races to come!
It’s so weird to see you have a rest day. LOL. I think to myself, “Oh, she may be human after all.” Hah. Great job! Also, I love using SmashRun. I’ve turned it into a game. I run some amount of miles to see what I can eat. I love seeing the unhealthy foods. 😛 Thanks for introducing it to me!
Yep yep! I love seeing the ‘what I can eat’ foods too!! Like bourbon balls…I’ll have to look into what that is! HA!
I’m from Louisville, KY…Bourbon ANYTHING here. People hand Bourbon Balls out for free at Kentucky Derby time at the airport. LOL!
What?! Wow! I obviously need to go to Kentucky soon then!
Come on over. I’ll show you around.
Actually…come on this way in October for the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon!! No joke!!
That’s a long way to go for JUST a half marathon!! 😉 but thank u, sounds fun. I enjoy bourbon!
