Weekly Running Report.

Hello!! Hope you had an amazing long Labor Day weekend! My holiday was filled with pool time, BBQ and of course…a ton of running! Let’s recap last week’s mileage, shall we?

Monday AM- 10.10 early morning miles. Last week it was humid as usual but the weather around here is starting to cool off. I will take temps in the 80s and 90s over triple digits any day. I am really ready for fall and especially to race in some cooler weather.

Monday PM- 3.02 after work/gym cool down miles. Threw in some strides. Unwinding from the long day.

Tuesday AM- I ran with the run club and then some on this day. 11.32 miles completed before 7 a.m. Can’t complain about that.

Tuesday PM- 4.11 sunset miles. Fairly uneventful, just some peaceful moments by the lake on some tired legs.

Wednesday AM- 10.35 miles before a crazy busy work day. For some reason the week before a holiday is always a crazy one, am I right? Anyway, much needed run therapy before hitting work deadlines and such.

Wednesday PM- 4.26 mile run after work…humidity through the roof. I suppose these sauna runs are making me a stronger runner though, somehow. I threw some strides in there for good measure.

Thursday AM- Thursdays are always great days for some run club miles. 10.02 miles and some post run Guatemalan coffee. Running is indeed cheaper than therapy.

Thursday PM- 7.03 mile twilight run. These twinkling lights in the sky are my favorite.

Friday- REST DAY and a massage to end the long work week.

Saturday- Big 30.05 mile run. I had some friends join me for a few miles which was nice. Girl talk while getting in big miles like that is oh so necessary.

I took a nap and then went out for some fun times with friends. Put your hair in a bun and wear some pretty earrings and no one will ever know you ran 30 miles that morning, HA. Just saying.

Sunday- 10.31 lunch time hot miles after sleeping in a bit.

100.5 weekly miles done! I am more than ready to knock out this ultra in a few short weeks.

Oh, and it wouldn’t be labor day weekend without some amazing Texas BBQ from this place. Smoked brisket for the win.

How was your holiday? Did you partake in any BBQ?
