Hey there! How was your weekend? The weather has been absolutely fantastic here! I am here to recap last week’s mileage – I got in a whopping total of 85 miles last week! Let’s get down to the nitty gritty details!!
Monday- 12.12 blissful Labor Day miles. I threw in some hills for good measure. Hills make everything more fun, am I right?
Tuesday AM- 8.12 miles after sleeping in just a bit. It was nice to sleep in after the long fun holiday. I mean, I guess if you consider ‘sleeping in’ to be about 6:30 a.m. Love it.
Tuesday PM- 3.02 miles after the gym. Enjoying some sunset miles and saying hello to all my neighbors on the lake.
Wednesday AM- 10.11 hump day solo miles enjoying the sunrise. Legs were kind of tired that day but I got it in.
Wednesday PM- I met up with my trail pals to get in some dirty miles at Big Cedar for a quick 4.1 mile run. There were rocks and roots and all kinds of fun stuff. Check out this awesome view.
Thursday AM- Back with the run club crew. 14.14 miles total with Samantha. She is a personal trainer and also an ultra runner so we swap stories about fitness and such. Always a good time.
Thursday PM- 2.11 post work miles, working on some strides, 7:32 overall pace. Loving my sweet new kicks.
Friday- REST DAY
Saturday- Long run fun, 20.12 miles in the early morning. What’s funny about this is that I’ve been doing so many really long runs on this day so running ‘just 20 miles’ feels rather short lately. I’m pretty sure that sounds insane to most people. LOL. So this was kind of a taper-ish run for me, scaling back the miles to get ready for my upcoming 100k ultra.
Post run eats – flatbread and vino from this wonderful little wine bar. Oh goodness gracious that was some delicious stuff.
Sunday- 11.22 afternoon miles – it was fairly warmer but with a nice cool breeze. We have some more summer-like temps happening again later this week but it was nice to enjoy 70s and 80s while they lasted.
And there you have it!
How was your weekend? What is the weather like where you are?
Praying for my FLORIDA peeps down there dealing with Irma! As well as those of you in other parts of where Irma is affected dealing with that crazy weather.
Whoa! Awesome run routine. Really racking up a ton of miles. Very impressive!
Thanks so much!!!
I’m reading your weekly running reports in awe! How do you keep up your energy levels and food intake with so many miles (in addition to a job and other obligations I assume). I’ve been struggling with lack of motivation in the past and admire your dedication! Maybe a post on this would be an idea?
Sure!! I love your curiosity!! Search thru my blog as I’ve written many posts on these items before. As an ultra runner you get used to running on tired legs and it helps that I am a fitness professional that is insane, oops I mean that actually likes to workout as much as I do. 😉 Happy running to you! Stay healthy!!
That flatbread looks so good! I need to visit a wine bar soon. They have the best appetizers and tapas.
The weather here has been so beautiful. Summer finally showed up!
It was incredible!! Flatbread, wine and live music is all you really need in life!! Have a great week girl!
So true!
