So, hello! Welcome to another day in the neighborhood. Speaking of neighborhoods, I thought today would be a great day to discuss random things I see on my runs. Sometimes running is like a scavenger hunt of sorts! There’s all kinds of people, places and things to stumble upon. So here are random things I see on my run, in no particular order.
–Gloves. I always see random black gloves in the middle of the street? For some reason this reminds me of OJ! If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit. Quote of the century right there. (And for the record, I think he did it)
–Empty bottles of fireball. For some reason its always the baby sized ones.
–Sidewalk chalk. I actually love this one. It’s fun to see the artwork of children drawing flowers and sunshine and such.
–Money. This has not happened to me in a while! But it’s always fun finding a random 20 dollar bill. I like to get paid to workout.
–Dead animals. Like squirrels and such. All the time. The worst are those armadillo things. We have a ton of armadillos in Texas.
–Empty fried chicken boxes. People sure do like Popeyes around here!
–GU packets. Come on runners, don’t be litterbugs.
–CDs. People still listen to those?!
–Love locks on a bridge. You know, like how they used to do it in Paris?! I think that is the absolute sweetest.

I laugh at the things I see when running as well. Like you, I have found money as well – but never a $20! You lucky dog you! I hate running by dead animals – always startles me for some reason! I run by a golf course and I find it hilarious when I find golf balls across the street from the course. Yeah they shanked that shot! I find a lot of shoes for some reason and I wonder, was it really better to go barefoot? Funny post!
HA!!! Yeah it’s always funny seeing random shoes for sure.
I found a dollar the other day while running and felt like I’d won the lottery!! I always notice stuff too on my runs – trash (lots of liquor and beer bottles around these parts, and fried chicken too! Lol), yard decorations and statues, and random clothes, hat’s, gloves, etc. I agree, it’s like a scavenger hunt! 🙂
Ah yes gotta love the decor especially this time of year!!! I’ve been seeing lots of Disney characters in yards! lol
I love getting paid to run – it happened twice in a week this summer in the same general place. I almost felt like standing there just to get it directly from whoever was dropping it LOL
That is what we like to call “making it rain”!! LOL love it!

I always pick up coins in the road and used to leave them on my window ledge by the front door until some punk kid on Halloween decided to swipe a handful!! His mom made him bring it back and now my treasures are in a small jar on the INSIDE window ledge!!!
I think you are seeing the CDs because no one listens to them, they are discarding them!!
haha yeah probably so! I have some stray CDs around the house somewhere I bet!!
