Happy beautiful Monday to you! Hope your week is off to a great start. I am here to recap some miles I was able to get in 75.8 miles of running last week! Let’s take a look and see how it all went down.
Monday- 10.23 miles on New Year’s Day. OMG y’all it was like 2 degrees out. Okay not really, more like 18. I simply don’t know how you folks up north do it. Like 18 degrees was kinda painful to run in. Thankfully it’s few and far between that we get crazy cold temps like that. It took me ALL DAY to thaw out after that run. Also, I purchased some mittens after this run was over. I am now a mitten fan.
Tuesday- 8.32 miles with the early weekday run club. Yes, this is that time of year where we have our lowest attendance. So usually I just run with my 2 die hard runners and then some others show up sometime and do their own thing. Gotta love the die hards during the work week.
Wednesday AM- 7.12 hump day miles in the straight up sunshine. Heaven.
Wednesday PM- 4.05 miles after work. Killing time and enjoying the weather that was starting to improve.
Wednesday PM- TRIPLE run day!! Haha, well kinda. I did some strides after I was done with the 4 miles. .72 miles done at a 6:55 pace. Hell yeah.
Thursday AM- 11.12 run club miles. The weather was dang near perfect on this morning.
Thursday PM- 3.03 mile cool down after teaching class at gym.
Thursday PM- MORE speedy strides. .62 miles done 7:19 pace.
Friday- REST DAY
Saturday- 15.22 miles with the White Rock Running Co-Op. I ran with some new runner gals which was so much fun. The mimosa after was the icing on the cake.
Sunday Early AM- 10.12 early miles in Valley Ranch with some hills thrown in.
Sunday AM- 5.33 miles playtime on the trails with my trail run club. Love exploring and getting off the beaten path.
And there you have it!
How was your weekend? Did you get some lovely miles in? Is it snowing where you are?
Highs in the 50s and 60s here the next few days. I am loving it.
Nice work! Ugh I have been staying indoors too much due to not even the bitter cold, but ice and snow on the ground (and general tiredness). I know it’s only temporary though and luckily the weather is warming up this week.
Glad to hear it will be warming up there 🙂 Happy running!!
Great week, as usual. Mittens really are the best. A great person lent me an extra pair during my first (and only) ultra. I think she saved my hands.
OH man! Seriously though having the warm extremities is the best! lol!
Fantastic week of running! That running group sounds like fun. I may lace up again for my trotting come spring. Really can’t call my pace running.
I hope Canada gets some sunshine soon. Sounds like y’all have some crazy long winters!
Too long!
Your cold run is what my runs are like from November to March:(
HAHAHA well we will ONE UP you in the summer when it is hot as BALLS here and we are dying from everyday triple digit temps 🙂 You’re welcome!
Yuck! I’d rather have my cold!!! Thanks for reminding me to be grateful for what Ive got:)
LOL!! Anytime ladybug!
Wow! I am amazed at how many miles you get into one week! I would love to build up to that! Are you on Strava? Would like to see you runs if you are and of course if you don’t mind lol
