Hello and happy Monday! I don’t know about you but this week is shaping up to be a rather busy one. Let’s recap some miles from last week! I was able to get back in the groove with my higher mileage, topping off at 70.5 mile total for the week! Let’s see how it all went down.
Monday- Rest day. Actually it felt so good to rest on a Monday. Of course this was Memorial Day so there was lots of fun to be had. I went to a party with friends and kicked it with fam. Good times were had by all.
Tuesday AM- Back with my breakfast run club and back to double run days! 11.22 miles that morning before work.
Tuesday PM- 3.32 mile cool down after teaching a class at the gym – people watching by the lake.
Wednesday AM- 7.12 miles solo before it warmed up. We had triple digit temps last week so I enjoyed all of the early breezy runs before the sun came out with guns blazing.
Wednesday PM- 4.12 happy hour miles with the White Rock Running Co-op. – and yes a post run hh margarita was the icing on the cake.
Thursday AM- 8.25 miles super early morning. That was a little rough but got it done.
Thursday PM- 3.22 mile warm up before the gym. Doing some speedy strides when it is 90 something degrees out is always fun.
Friday- 4.03 miles at lunch. Nice much needed break in the middle of the work day.
Saturday- 18.28 miles with WRRC. It is super fun because they do a “run my hood” event and we all meet at different locations on the weekends. A lot of the peeps that host the runs also happen to have pools so we all take a dip afterwards and enjoy brunch. So yes, it is going to be an amazing summer. So excited that I’ve found such a fun amazing group of folks to run with. Yay yay and triple yay.
Sunday- 11.03 miles of recovery with some hills thrown in. It was a very relaxing run after Saturday’s 18 miler. So happy also for a little cloud cover.
And there you have it!
How was your weekend?! Did you get some pool/beach time in?
Nice work, that was a solid week for sure!
Thank you so much!! Feels good to be back at it after running back 2 back ultras in May. 😉
