Happiest of Fridays to you! This post will be short and sweet since it is a rather busy day on this end. But I definitely have some much needed fun in store for this weekend!! Fun mixed with a little bit of relaxation is always my favorite.
Let’s get to this week’s faves!
–Top Running Shoe Picks for Spring. I see Brooks made the list!! I also love Altras more so for trail running but may need to look into some of these.
–Loving this slow cooker black bean chicken chili. This week it has been downright CHILLY in Texas so I’m having to bust the crockpot back out. I love making turkey taco soup in there so adding this to the rotation.
-Confession I have become somewhat of a race medal hoarder after doing 329784675 marathons over the years. I also need about 5 or 6 racks just to house these things so they’ve ended up in a big box. Anyways I found my last 2 medals from Cowtown (after pacing 50k on Sunday) and they make a pizza pie! From the last 3 years of pacing the marathon and ultramarathon. Fun.
-15 mile Friday run this morning! This was fun running in super cold temps. I had a friend that met me for the last few miles so it was fun having girl talk to start the day.
That’s all for this week! Be good or be good at it.
Any fun plans for the weekend?
More running, breakfast tacos, mimosas…and so on.
You had me at Mimosas. I will be working my side gig and cleaning up my house and maybe painting. Im not sure.
Sounds productive!! Enjoy love!
Congrats on a 15 mile freezer run. I sat at my desk all day ;( I have a Half on sunday so I could have used a few miles to stay loose.
Have a great weekend!
It really was a FREEZER run! You described that perfectly. I am still thawing out! We need some sunshine this week down in TX!
And good luck on the half!!
I’ll need to try Altra’s! I usually use Brooks, but I have been having issues with my recent pairs (same ones I have been using for over 5 years!). Thanks for the suggestion & that black bean chili sounds absolutely perfect for this chilier weather (ahhh couldn’t help myself). Have a great weekend, Chels!
As far as the trail Altras go I like the Superiors & Lone Peaks!! Yep it has been great weather lately for all of the chilis & soups!
