TMI Things I Love About Running.

So I was browsing some old archive posts and came across this fun Too Much Information Blogger Tag I did back in the day. It reminds me of the fact that I love to just share random tidbits for no apparent reason. So I thought we would relate the tag to all things RUNNING! Here are a few TMI things that I love about this sport.

It makes you really comfortable with your bodily functions. Specifically when it comes to being comfortable using a porta potty. I used to be terrified of those things! Now I happily use them. Well…maybe not happily. But I will willingly use one especially if there is hand sanitizer and ample TP. And one of those little mirrors. A mirror in a porta potty kind of feels like a luxury.

Running can literally be healing to your body, mind and soul. Especially when it comes to the mental. I can’t tell you how many friendship and/or relationship breakups running has helped to get me through. Literally I have cried on the run and at the end of the run felt SO AMAZINGLY better and my head clear of all worries. All because I got out the door.

The simple act of running can bond you with people who you otherwise probably wouldn’t have bonded with. I have friends now that are 50+ years old who I cherish and adore deeply. Why? All because of running. And don’t let these older guys and gals fool ya. They are sometimes more competitive than the younger folk! That’s #goals right there. Love it.

-Some days I do RUN FOR WINE. Hey, what can I say. I may even do that this Wednesday after work. I have a bottle I need to open…

What are some TMI things you love about running?! Come on, don’t be shy.

  1. I agree! I especially love the connecting with new people that you my not have otherwise ever met… I may have never met you!! I’ve made so many genuine and great friends through running.

  2. I’ve definitely used my share of the porta potties and the thing that kills me is the toilet paper. Where do they find that stuff? It’s like 0.1 ply and in the hot, humid summers it will melt in your dang hand.
