Hello there and happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely weekend. The sun is finally shining here again after some off and on rain so I’m feeling super good! Without further ado let’s recap some miles from last week’s running, shall we?
Monday- Monday was a REST DAY from the Hachie 50 miler! The whole week in general felt like a REST WEEK of sorts tbh after months of running 70-80 mpw. It was good to have time off and so I went and enjoyed some delicious dinner with friends after a long day at work. Hello, lamb meatballs for the win.
Tuesday AM- First day back hitting them streets. 6.31 miles done. Beautiful morning with super relaxed miles. Legs still felt a little wobbly honestly but I was moving.
Tuesday PM- Cool down miles after teaching a spin class. 2.21 miles doing some people watching. Pretty uneventful but legs felt better after getting them on a bike in the evening. Fun fact I always LOVE teaching spin right after a race. Something about cycling helps me recover way faster from running.
Wednesday- 5.55 miles in the morning. Threw some strides in at the end. Legs were starting to feel a little bit better. Slowly but surely getting back in that groove.
Thursday AM- Lunch miles. 4.21 miles done on a beautiful day. Made the second part of my workday that much more lovely.
Thursday PM- 2.22 miles again after teaching class at the gym. Felt good to have some happy legs again.
Friday- 8.12 easy breezy miles to kick off Friday. Allergies were killer on this day though. I always seem to run around the times that people are outside cutting the grass. UGH. Kills me.
Saturday- We had a wild Texas spring storm roll through in the morning so this run was done around lunchtime. 12.4 miles done! Back to double digits. Yay for that.
Sunday- REST DAY. Took mama to brunch. Had a lovely time.
And there you have it!
How was your weekend? Did you do anything special for your mama for Mother’s Day?
Rest DAY after a 50 miler? You are something special. 🙂
HAHA…pretty sure there’s some sarcasm lurking in those words 😉 Happy Monday!
There always is, but on a serious note, you are one of the most impressive runners that I’m lucky enough to read about. I don’t know how you do it.
🙂 🙂 Thanks friend!
