Hey there and happy Monday! Hope you had a super fantastic weekend. I’m here to recap some miles from last week! It was a strong week of training and I was able to get in just over 72 miles! 50k training is going great. Let’s recap and see how it all went down.
Monday- 5.12 miles to crank up the day. I was so happy for plenty of cloud cover last week and we actually had a few cooler days! I mean granted when I say “cooler” I’m talking 70s and 80s but hey, it’s something. Back to the heat and humidity this week.
Tuesday AM- 10.22 miles with hills thrown in. Gotta love dem hill repeats. Always feels so good when it’s done.
Tuesday PM- 2.22 miles after teaching a class at the gym. Felt good to get some double run day miles in.
Wednesday AM- 7.12 miles on some tired legs but got it done. These super early mornings have been much needed lately though. What’s that saying about working out before you actually know what you’re doing?!? That has been a BIG mood lately with summer training.
Wednesday PM- 5.11 mile run with White Rock Running Co-op. Lovely run though a pretty part of town with beautiful people.
Thursday AM- Somehow I was up and at ‘em for another early run and got some more hill work in. 7.39 miles total for the morning.
Thursday PM- 3.01 lunchtime miles in the sun…much needed break from the work day to get I over 10 miles total for the day.
Friday- 20.12 miles to kick off Friday! I honestly do think I love Fridays for long running the most. Early start and still had to work. Finished in the full sun. So lots of iced coffee consumed during this day.
Saturday- 12.01 miles with the RUN MY HOOD crew! Running, pool party and brunch. Can’t go wrong. Love running with my peeps.
Sunday- REST DAY. And crab cakes benny. Both much needed.
