Happy Monday! I am here to recap some of last week’s miles! I was able to get in just over 51 mies of running last week! This was a scale back in miles for me for sure— especially after the Habanero 50k! But training is still going well leading up to my next 100 miler. I am excited to crank the miles back up and feeling good! Let’s see how it all went down…
Monday- 6.32 miles with a friend in the early A.M. My legs were still super duper FEELING IT after Saturday’s race and honestly wasn’t even sure I would be able to move fast enough to keep up with my friend! The first mile was rough but slowly fell back into my normal pace. Thankful for this girl for getting me up and at ‘em. Running friends during the work week are the real MVPs.
Tuesday- 4.02 miles after teaching spin at the gym. Motion is lotion, baby! Fun fact I actually LOVE teaching spin after doing a race. It is something about the bike that helps my legs recover real fast. Real happy for the spin cycle side hustle.
Wednesday AM- 8.22 miles for breakfast. My friends wanted to run hills so I did a few then went off and did my own thing. Got it done. Glad to get in some longer miles so early in the a.m.
Wednesday PM- 2.22 miles in the evening. Enjoying doing some people watching and getting in a double run day.
Thursday AM- 4.33 miles just getting it in for the day. Slept in and ran after sunrise. Legs were pretty tired. Coffee definitely fueled this entire week.
Thursday PM- Run after gym. Nice cooler breezy run. 3.04 miles done.
Friday- 5.11 miles of glorious sunrise. Lovely colors in the sky.
Saturday- 14.12 miles before teaching a spin class. Power packed morning. The morning run was humidity central. So ready for some fall weather in my life.
Sunday- Sunday funday runday miles. 4.01 miles in the straight up sun. I actually still feel like I have a little PTSD from Habanero. So this run was not my favorite haha. More like active recovery miles but got a little run streak in for the week and felt good about that. Hip hip hooray.
I even got my nails done to celebrate. Yay for that. One of my friends says I say the word YAY a lot by the way. What can I say? I like to celebrate things.
And there you have it!
How was your weekend? Any races coming up!?
Loop Garou 100 miler in December. May throw another race in there. But that one is the big kahuna.
You are amazing! I barely ran. My toes were so sore and I was tired and busy.
Girl! Yeah. 100 mile training so the show must go on 😉 Recover well!!!
“Motion is lotion” hahaha
SAY IT LOUDER for the people in the back 😉 lol
