Hey there and happy Monday to ya! Hope your week is getting off to a great start. I’m here to recap some miles from last week! Training is ramping up and I was able to get in just over 60 miles!! Let’s recap and see how it all went down!
Monday- I got outside do to some HEAT training after some back to back days of hitting it hard. This was still more of an active recovery day. Body was tired but got it in. Some days you just do what you’ve gotta do! 4.11 miles done in the 90 something degree heat.
Tuesday AM- Back to my usual. 8.23 miles early morning. Saw a lovely sunrise. Great therapy for the work week…I needed the solo miles really. You know when you have weeks like that? It was like moving meditation.
Tuesday PM- Double run day miles. Just some quick miles after teaching class at the gym. 2.23 miles done and over 10 miles total for the day.
Wednesday AM- 6.32 miles with a friend just getting in some early morning miles and time on my feet. Chocolate milk therapy after. Yes, it is fun starting your run from a grocery store. Please believe I think about that chocolate milk the entire time that I am running.
Wednesday PM- 3.21 miles while doing some people watching. This was a bit of a progression run. Felt good to get another double run day in too. I’m so very ready for cooler evenings though. In Texas it just STAYS HOT all day into the night in the summertime. So yeah, bring on fall please and thank you.
Thursday- 7.11 miles listening to a podcast. I’m finding all of the good ones on Spotify. Actually last week I listening to a lot of “The Breakfast Club” on Spotify. I get my news and gossip all in one workout.
Friday AM- I was moving faster on Friday for some reason. Could have been a slight cooler breeze in the air, who knows. 10.12 early miles done.
Friday PM- I needed some night running so did 3.02 miles. Gotta start practicing running on tired legs. It was nice and there actually lots of people out strolling about on a Friday night.
Saturday- 16.22 miles with the run club. Quite glorious…then finally some pool and relax time with the bestie! Felt so good to dip in the pool my legs and feet were in dire need.
Sunday- REST DAY. And then it would not be the weekend without marvelous breakfast tacos. Heaven.
