Weekly Running Report.

Happy August! Hope everyone reading this is staying happy and healthy! I am here to recap some miles from last week. Let’s hop right to it!

Monday- I took this day off to soak up a little sun as well as some stretching / active rest day. All week for the most part it was typical Texas hot – but cooled off just a tad towards the end of the week. “Cooled off” in Texas means highs in the 80s and 90s. As opposed to triple digits. So, still brutal really. Ha.

Tuesday AM- Relaxed miles with radiant skies. 6.31 miles done.

Tuesday PM- Double run day miles to hit over 10 miles for the day. 4.02 miles in the afternoon a little faster than in the morning.

Wednesday AM- Lunch miles to give my body a bit of recovery. 5.33 miles pushing it in the heat.

Wednesday PM- 3.02 miles with a bit of progression. Another double run day.

Thursday AM- Ran with my breakfast run club – my favorite run day of the week. After doing so many solo miles I do look forward to seeing a few people in the flesh. 7.12 miles for breakfast.

Thursday PM- 3.02 miles on a route I’ve done before with a PR Strava segment. Gotta love that.

Friday AM- 3.30 miles pushing it in the heat again. I really am enjoying that a lot lately for some reason.

Friday PM- 3.22 miles in the evening. Humid but it was starting to cool off a bit since we’ve had some activity in the gulf. I loathe humidity though so this run felt soupy.

Saturday- 5.02 miles exploring a new route in the ‘hood. The temps were nice and it felt good to just be moving.

Sunday- REST DAY. Watching shows on Netflix and other guilty pleasures. I also tried a “new to me” Italian spot. I was pretty dang good takeout.

188 miles total in the month of July and completed the July Running Endurance Challenge. Oh happy day.

40.29 miles for the week without a long run. Back at it next week.

How was your weekend?! Share some tidbits with me!
