Hey there and happy Christmas week! It has been busy times on my end but trying to keep up with this here blog o’ thang!! I was actually able to get in a solid 61 mile week of running last week! Let’s talk about it, shall we?
Monday AM- 10.31 miles early morning with my neighborhood crew. I did the first few miles with them then finished off on my own. It was definitely one of those mornings where I felt like I could keep going. I’ve been loving the chilly mornings down in Texas lately.
Monday PM- 3.03 miles to get in over 13.3 miles for the day. Gotta love them double run day miles.
Tuesday- 5.22 evening miles looking at the Christmas lights. Threw in some climbing for good measure.
Wednesday- 6.03 miles watching the sunset. Running a bit on some tired legs but felt good to keep going.
Thursday AM- Back with the early morning breakfast run club. 7.22 miles super early with super chilly weather. Temps were below 30 that morning so it was a shock to the body but loving the early morning chill. We didn’t have a super good turnout that morning either with the run club (HA) so I had a to rely on podcasts to keep me going. But morning runners gonna RUN and that’s what I did. Had to get it in before the busy work day.
Thursday PM- 3.23 miles in the evening around the lake. Rocking out to my jams and doing some people watching.
Friday- 5.12 morning miles around the lake with a faster finish. Legs feeling better on this day.
Saturday- 16.02 miles and feeling good! We had nice cool temps and plenty of cloud cover so I just wanted to KEEP GOING. I fueled with a bit of watered down lemon lime gatorade and that was about it. Love days like this.
Sunday- 5.12 Sunday funday runday miles. Nice recovery from the long week. We also had some pretty amazing weather on Sunday. Sorry to those of you having to deal with snow. Highs in the 60s/70s in December is pretty much where its at.
Oh and I got a spa pedicure on Sunday! My feet were a HOT MESS. Got stone massage, paraffin wax, heavenly scrub was exactly what I needed. Thank you baby Jesus.
And there you have it!
How are your holidays going? How is running going? Any virtual races (or in person) coming up?! How are you surviving this ‘RONA craziness?
Kudos to you for running in sub-30’s! Lol- I’m struggling to get out in my bike with a high of 61 today. And absolutely gorgeous pic of the sunset btw. Happy New Year
Ah well, meant sunrise but gorgeous nonetheless.
Thank you so very much! Have a great day and Happy New Year!!
