Happy new week to ya! I’m back to do some weekly run recappin’!! The weather in Texas has been downright glorious. We had another weekend where it was 70 something degrees and sun shining every day. Which made for some nice miles in my sweet new kicks. Let’s see how it all went down.
Monday- I took an active recovery / rest day after a long run over the weekend. Still building back up mileage wise so it was nice to have a day of stretching / yoga and getting back into the groove of the work week. Plus I taught my first EDG spin class at Life Time Fitness! I was a great active recovery workout with a great group.
Tuesday AM- Back to some double run day miles! 7.12 mile runrise in the ‘hood. Lovely miles for breakfast.
Tuesday PM- 3.02 miles after work doing a bit of people watching. Double run days are always good ‘time on my feet’ therapy for me and over 10 miles in for the day.
Wednesday- 6.33 miles later in the morning since I had to work a later / evening shift. The sun was OUT and about that morning! Threw in some light hills for this run.
Thursday AM- Back to early miles for breakfast 4.23 mile out and back run on the lake with a faster finish.
Thursday PM- 3.31 miles at night just a quick out and back after work in the darkness.
Friday- 5.15 relaxed miles around the lake for breakfast. My schedule was a tad thrown off this week due to the day in the middle of the week working at night but got this one done anyway.
Saturday- Quick double digit miles with my run club friends! 10.02 miles and was feeling quite fast that morning. I think the slight scale back and of course rest day during the earlier part of the week helped pace wise.
Sunday- 5.02 miles in the afternoon to get my numbers in for the week. Feeling good, feeling great.
And there you have it!
Has running been “therapeutic” for you lately? Are you looking forward to anything this spring?
Getting VACCINATED soon hopefully haha. And of course lots of running in the sunshine with bluebonnets.
